/ / Monday 11 May to 8 June (No meeting on Bank Holiday Monday 25 May)
4 meetings 10.00am to 12.00pm £40, Concessions £36

Reap the benefits of the great thinkers without ploughing through all
their books. Local author and philosopher Tim LeBon will be your gentle
and stimulating guide to how philosophers, ancient and modern, can be of
practical value in your life. Socrates, Aristotle, The Existentialists
and the Stoics will be amongst the philosophers discussed. No previous
knowledge of philosophy required.

Please bring a pen and it might also be worth purchasing a folder to
keep together all the handouts and your own notes from the course. It is
advisable, but not essential, to purchase and start reading Alain de
Botton's The Consolations of Philosophy before the course begins.
